The first question most people have is, "Can solar panels power my whole home?" The short answer is yes. But there are many more questions and answers along the way so we would like to answer any questions you may have here.

Solar energy is real and it works. It has been around a while and only a select few could afford solar roof panels. Solar technology has also improved dramatically over the last 10 years and the demand has gone up. One of the main things to consider is cost. The two obvious factors a home owner has to consider is cost and sunshine. If you receive a lot of direct sunlight you are an ideal candidate.  Most people under the hot Texas sun qualify.

The second factor is cost. There are state and federal tax deductions that will help offset the costs that we highly encourage you to take full advantage of. The state of Texas offers home owners a tax exemption in regards to solar energy devices under form 50-123

The federal tax incentives alone should also encourage homeowners. You can get as much as 30% tax credit for the cost of the labor and materials when you have solar panels installed. Also it is important to note that if you are having a roof replaced during this time the 30% tax credit only applies to the labor that is directly related to the installation of the solar panels and the materials directly related to the solar panels.

Also keep in mind that Texas and the Federal government offer a different set of incentives for commercial solar energy.  We can also help answer any questions along those lines as well.

Once customers get past the first and second question we open your mind and educate you on  your choice of photovoltaic panels.  To keep it simple think of a car and the miles per gallon it gets. This is the same with panels. You want solar panels that give you the most mileage. Another thing you need to think about is the lifespan of the solar panel. 25 years is the average.  You also want to make sure the panels have a low power tolerance. 2% to 3% is very good.
